We thank those who participated and made the event happen! The event organisers and the Lithuanian Mathematical Society congratulate the best papers by Lithuanian PhD students in 2017:
After successful meetings in Vilnius, this year the Lithuania's Young Mathematicians Meeting took place on Friday, 29 December 2017, at Santaka Valley, Kaunas.
Many young mathematicians, who work or study abroad, return home for Christmas and New Year, making this time an ideal opportunity to get together. We are therefore looking forward to seeing everyone at the 6th Lithuania's Young Mathematicians Meeting on Friday, 29 December. The meeting is a one day conference aimed at bringing together Lithuania's young mathematicians, meet people working in similar areas, hear what they are working on and where. The event is aimed at mathematics students, recent graduates and early career researchers, working in Lithuania or abroad, to meet and present their research to a wide audience of mathematicians. We welcome participants from all areas of mathematics - pure and applied mathematics (including theoretical physics, theoretical computer science, statistics, machine learning, econometrics, mathematical biology, etc.). The event is open to everyone - those who wish to present their work, and those who would like to come along to listen. Please register if you wish to attend this event. Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact Elena, the secretary of the event, by emailing sutkute AT gmail.com. If you or your company would like to sponsor the meeting, please get in touch with Elena (sutkute AT gmail.com) for more information. And we thank again the previous year's industrial sponsors Neurotechnology and Adform! |
